Maritime Award Aline Koninckx

Mrs. Aline Koninckx died on August 6, 2010.  For several years she was very active in the Antwerp Shipping Federation as a member of the Board of Directors, a member of the Office of the President, a member of the Disciplinary Board and Chairman of the working group on Marine Affairs an she was also managing director of VDA Port Agencies.

The Board of Directors of ASF decided to create the Maritime Award Aline Koninckx which can be awarded to a student higher education who made a master thesis concerning shipping in the broadest sense of the word, i.e. nautical, legal and economic issues that directly or indirectly are related to the Belgian ports or maritime administrations.
